I had planned to get a photograph for my blog and facebook page, so, I asked my daughter to photograph me for that purpose. Then I got a really great idea…what about if we have a family picture?
We drove to a beautiful location close to Santa Cruz, California. It was not a perfect day for pictures because it was a bit cold and cloudy. We got to our location and by then the dark clouds had gone away, leaving us with a beautiful sunny day.
I prepared my camera, tripod, flashes and all the vital accessories for a nice professional photo. After my Daughter took a couple of pictures of me, I took a few shots of her and some with her mom. Then she asked me if she could take some pictures and I said, ”Yes! Sure”. I grabbed my second flash and held it for her. My goal was to mix ambient light with my two flashes and get some more creative lighting.
I got surprised to see my daughter directing and looking for better angles… she is only 13 years old! She got some of the best photographs of my wife laying down on the ground!
If you are still reading this post…let me ask you:
Have you taken a family portrait lately? If the answer is NO. Would you allow Carlos Garcia capture those memories that will last forever? It is quite affordable, really!
Please come by the studio at .. in Watsonville and let me know your idea, I am very confident that I can add even more ideas for that perfect family portrait.
